Every year numerous founders of start-ups launch promising innovations in Germany. Many of these start-ups fail, however, in the initial phase. The reason: too little capital to successfully finance market entry and the growth phase. Germany still has considerable potential on an international comparison, particularly in making venture capital available through private investors.
This is why the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is supporting private investors (in particular “Business Angels”) with its INVEST sponsorship programme, enabling investors to engage effectively with innovative young companies and make venture capital available.
Business Angels Netzwerk Deutschland e.V. (BAND) will present the sponsorship programme in the form of a workshop, and discuss the challenges of financing CleanTech start-ups with investors: 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Innovation Lounge.
